INTEGRATES INTO
KRONES UK |

After
seven years successful trading in Burton on Trent, Kosme UK are
integrating their facilities and resources into Krones UK, and relocating
their Administration, Spares, and Technical Support Services to
the Bolton offices.
Richard
Portman, Managing Director of Kosme UK Limited, said:
"The business
has grown significantly since we established Kosme UK over seven
years ago; during which time we have expanded our installed base
of machines into new market sectors and now supply a wider portfolio
of equipment and services to existing clients. We felt the time
was right to move the support services of the company into Krones
UK who are able to contribute the additional technical and project
management resources that are now required. Kosme have become synonymous
with supplying good quality equipment, competitively priced with
unrivalled service support and we see our operations neatly dovetailing
in with those of Krones to offer an integrated and expanded market
offering."
This move comes at a special time for Kosme, as the business has
moved on from simply supplying individual labelling machines. They
are now at the point where they are successfully installing complete
bottling lines such as the recently supplied beer filling line to
St. Austell’s Brewery in Cornwall. Additional opportunities
now arise to sell the lower output range of blow moulding equipment
and recently launched Blower/Filler Blocs, available from the Kosme
Austria facility, so this move represents an ideal opportunity for
Krones to expand the Kosme business further in the UK and Irish
markets.
The sales of Kosme equipment will still be headed by Richard Portman,
who will undertake the new role of 'Kosme Business Manager'. Richard
will be assisted by Cliff Salmons and the existing Kosme UK service
engineering team.
