The newly developed Kosme Trigger capper has been developed specifically for
applying pump-spray closures with a
maximum riser length of 250 mm. The
machine is completely encased in stainless
steel and the guard doors can be opened
sideways or vertically as required
and are fitted with safety microswitches.
The Trigger machine is completely controlled
by a PLC system, and it's interface
allows the movements of each individual
component to be adjusted. With its
12 closing elements, the capper achieves
production speeds of up to 9000 bottles/hour.
The caps arriving from the sorter are
passed through an external guide to
a pick-and-place system. A state-of-the-art
gripper mounted on the starwheel assures
correct orientation of the pump-spray
closures until they reach the closing
element. Trigger machines use the Krones
infeed worm, already used successfully
with other fillers and labelers, which
guarantees the operator simply adjustment
it for format changes.
The closure transport starwheel rotates
by following a cam profile, and simultaneously
inserts the pump-spray closures into
the containers and closes the them
by screwing the caps on. Correct container
flow is assured not only at the machine’s
infeed, but at its discharge as well.
A rejection system detects and removes
any containers that have not been properly
capped. |
